April is Stress Awareness Month...are you feeling stressed or totally zen and calm? ⁠
⁠
My kids like to tell me to put on a face mask, cucumbers on my eyes and put a robe on to relax. They must have seen this on TV because I've never done this before, but they think it's the way I should relax. ⁠
⁠
My stress relievers include going for a walk outside and getting my body in motion, reading a book that allows me to escape to a different reality (I love @emilygiffinauthor and @sophiakinsellawriter), having a glass of wine (or 2), a great therapy session, and not having to think or worry about what's for dinner. ⁠
⁠
And if I really want to release all stress, then just being at the beach will do it.⁠
⁠
For me, stress creeps up when I haven't properly planned things out...I'm talking about content or nightly dinners. The good part is that I know this is what triggers me and if I get ahead of it, then things will be calm and less stressful. ⁠

We are all born with confidence...confidence that we can learn what we need to, from feeding ourselves to dressing ourselves to going to the bathroom alone to falling asleep alone. ⁠

Somewhere along the line we grow up and that confidence can get lost. ⁠

You have it in you to do whatever it is you're dreaming about. You wouldn't have that dream or goal if you couldn't succeed at it. ⁠

I love a box of crayons and today we celebrate National Crayon Day!⁠

When I think about crayons and their many colors, two things come to mind, the first being the fact that we embrace all of the colors and the incredible fact that every year, there are new colors added. It reminds me of our world and how important it is that we celebrate everyone. ⁠
⁠
April is Celebrate Diversity month and I think this is a perfect reminder to start celebrating early! ⁠
⁠
Crayons also remind us to stop what we're doing and find joy in simply coloring. I love coloring with my kids because we get to express our creativity and simply be in the moment. ⁠
⁠
Take 30 minutes today to just color something. Make the world a brighter place with your colors!⁠
