My step daughter just turned 13 and her favorite actress is Audrey Hepburn…she’s got good taste! We were trying to think of a theme for her party and I thought why not take her favorite movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and turn it into a party? She loved the idea! We started by creating a secret Pinterest board to pin all of our ideas. This allowed for us to be in constant contact and see what ideas we both had to collaborate on the party.
I found instructions on how to make the eye masks that Audrey wears in the movie on TrinketsInBloom and bought black t-shirts from JoAnn’s (they were on sale for $1.50), strings of pearls and tiaras from Amazon and black sunglasses from Oriental Trading Co. I put all of these in goodie bags along with Cracker Jacks and tiffany blue candy. For the place settings, I found small black frames at Michael’s in the $1.50 section and simply printed the girls’ names on scrapbook paper. I used scrapbook paper for the invitations and used leftover rhinestone buckles from my wedding invitations to add a bit of bling to it.
Baby D made a surprise early arrival, so we unfortunately I wasn’t able to host the actual party but luckily all of the favors, the banner, place settings, invitations and extras were all set so the party could still happen!
